because president obama did such a good job on the auto bailout. the first thing that romney says is well, wait, obama just did what i suggested and let them go into bankruptcy. lie. that's the first lie. no, no no, no. there is a big difference. obama gave them $80 billion in federal help. to go into and come out of bankruptcy. everybody has said economists have said steve ratner who was in charge of the auto bailout has said over and over again if romney's plan had gone through federal government did nothing and they were just left up to the private sector, no bank was going to lend them any money. they were in such bad shape. they would have gone under and never gone out and they would have been gone. america's auto industry would be gone. instead, it's back. a million and a half jobs they figure still for g.m. and chrysler as a result of the auto bailout. jobs brought back. and new jobs. so the first lie didn't work. now romney's out with a second lie which is that having come back, g.m. and chrysler are now going to shut down their plants in ohio and move them to china. now n

their jobs. it's embarrassing for mr. romney. why would mitt romney get up in front of 12,000 people in ohio and tell them the auto bailout hasn't helped you at all. your jobs are going to china. i read it somewhere. where's the story? we found it. he was apparently trolling the nether regions of the right-wing press. he found it on a washington examiner blog post, which reported, quote, jeep, an obama favorite, looks to shift production to china. a move that would crash the economy in toledo. this is a misreading of a bloomberg report that was reporting good news. global demand for jeep has risen to the point where they can sell more in china and wants to build jeeps for china in china. this is good news for an american company, not bad news. they are not shipping american jobs overseas. this doesn't mean less work for americans. this means they are adding, they are expanding overseas. thanks to the auto bailout, chrysler stuck around to win again. yay! or as mitt romney put it -- >> jeep is thinking of moving all production to china. >> i cover campaigns for a living. i understand

are focused on the economy and jobs and mitt romney has a land that is pro growth and pro jobs and president obama doesn't. when you look at the last four years they are disappointed. we are living through the weakest economic recovery since the great depression, there are 22 million americans struggling to find works and 3.5 million more women in poverty. take home pay has gone down $4,300 per family. president obama has the glossy brochure and i have looked at that brochure and i layed this role of obama during the debate preparation and it is more of the same. you can argue we need to do more of the same but it hasn't worked and it hasn't worked by president obama's own measurement, saying unemployment would be 15 percent lower if we passed the stimulus package. he said economic growth today would be two-thirds higher than it is. so, it hasn't worked. the one thing he does have in his new proposal is to raise taxes. yes, he wants to raise taxes on a million small businesses including a lot in ohio, and that will result, according to a study by the national medicination of indepe
